Killer King To Re-open???
"Yall takin' me to Martin Luter King?! Just leave me here I'm dead anyway."
Los Angeles pharmaceutical billionaire Patrick Soon-Shiong plans to give University of California regents a $100-million guaranty to underwrite the county's proposal to reopen Martin Luther King Jr. Hospital by 2012, it was reported Thursday. The gift from his family foundation is intended to reassure university officials hesitant to reopen the public hospital, which county officials eventually closed two years ago after a history of well-publicized mishaps earned it the moniker "Killer King.''

FAME COSTS: Part 1
Sad. They saw too many movies.
Hollywood-Teen girls arrested in break-ins at homes of Lohan, Hilton and other young celebrities. Police allege that the friends, fascinated by Hollywood fashion, would case the stars' homes and then break in, taking clothing and jewelry. Four teens -- Rachel Lee, 19; Diana Tamayo, 19; Courtney Ames, 18; and Alexis Neiers, 18 -- were arrested last week on suspicion of burglary in several of the cases. The Los Angeles County district attorney's office has not filed charges against them.
